Prom

♥  PROM NIGHT ♥

On the 23rd June was my Year 11 Leavers Prom.
This blog post will include products I used on my hair and face as well as what I wore and some pictures from the event!

Enjoy xo

The day before my prom I went to a local nail salon and I got baby pink gel nails- which last for three weeks.
I also used a boots natural collection face mask and moisturised my face with the boots essentials moisturising cream.

During the morning to prepare my skin I applied florentyna body lotion to my arms and legs. I then used the Vaseline hand cream. As well as the boots essentials moisturising cream pictured above, I used the boots essentials eye gel, boots skin clear spot gel and boots essentials lip salve.

For my hair I decided to go for a simple style.
I brushed through my hair, before applying the ghd style heat protecting spray. I brushed it through thoroughly before sectioning my hair with clips and using my ghd straighteners to straighten it. To ensure my hair did not go curly and it all stayed in place I spritzed it with the boots extra firm hold hair spray.

I began my makeup by applying benefits pore- fessional primer and the body shops strawberry lip butter. I then used my real techniques and bobbi brown makeup brushes to do my make up.

I used the hello flawless foundation by benefit as a base. I then applied rimmel wake me up concealer onto my blemishes and benefit fake up concealer under my eyes. I used the rimmel stay matte powder to set it in place. I lightly dabbed the bronzer from the clarins bronzing duo open my cheek bones, forehead and under my chin.
I also used benefits benetint liquid blush and benefits high beam liquid highlighter.

For my eyes I rubbed a small amount of benefits stay don't stray primer onto my eye lids, before applying ooh la lift high lighter onto my brow bone. I used eye shadows  from the goodies a go-go eye kit by benefit. I used rimmel brow this way gel on my eyebrows and benefit roller lash mascara on my lashes. I completed the look by dabbing vaselines almond and rose lip balm onto my lips.

What I wore...
Dress- I purchased from asos but it is by forever unique.
Shoes- I also purchased from asos but they are from new look.
Clutch bag- Accessorise

Perfume collection

♥  MIXED PERFUME REVIEW ♥

For this blog post I decided to do perfume reviews of the ones which I have within my collection. Most of these I received as presents, over time, so I do not know where they were purchased or for exactly how much, but I have looked it up, however it may not be exact!

The Body Shop- 'White Musk Blush'

This is absolutely perfect for travel or keeping in your handbag as it comes in a small, light, plastic bottle which holds 100ml. It has a very sweet delicate scent which is ideal for spring or summer.  This version of it is available  for £8 from the body shop, however they also do 150ml bottles made of glass. So you could have one for home and one for your handbag?!

  Bobbi Brown- 'Almost Bare'
This perfume has been my day to day pick for some time now.
It has a fresh scent and is very long lasting. The 50ml bottle is £49.50, which I think is quite expensive, for how much you get, however if you see it in the sale I would definitely recommend buying it or if you are up for a splurge !

Calvin Klein 'One'

I have been really enjoying using this perfume, it has a very strong scent and a lot goes along way, which means you only need to use a small amount and it is not necessary to re- apply it within a day.
It is an 100ml glass bottle which is £18. I think it is the best value for money perfume which I have mentioned.

Gucci- 'Gucci Guilty'

I adore the bottle that this perfume is in as it is so glamorous, however along with that comes a large price tag- £129.00 for the 75ml bottle.
I do like the scent of the perfume, as it has some dark and light tones which makes it perfect for all times of year. It is very long lasting but can be over powering if you apply too much. I would say if you're looking for a high end product this is definitely a good choice but there are just as good high street equivalents.

 Tommy Hilfiger- 'Tommy Girl'

I received this perfume, as a gift about two years ago, and have been constantly re-purchasing it since. It is probably my favourite all time perfume. It has a beautiful floral scent. I currently have the 100ml bottle which I bought for £19.50. I highly recommend this perfume and I think it makes a great present, as it is so neutral: everyone enjoys the smell.

Juicy Couture- Viva La Juicy - 'La Fleur'

I purchased the 150ml bottle of this for £20 about two years ago and it is still lasting me! It has a floral, pretty scent which is ideal for springtime. I think the amount you get for the price is great.  I also love the packaging as I think it is so girly and sweet!
I would suggest this perfume as a present for a girl aged 12-15.

I hope you have enjoyed viewing my perfume collection and are considering to buy one of them. Please feel free to share in the comments what perfumes you have been enjoying.

Stay beautiful,
Josie xo
